Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the minimum period I can hire the Motorhome for?
From October to May, we have a minimum hire period of 3 nights. From June to September the minimum period is 7 nights, as are school holiday periods.
  • How much is the security deposit?
There will be a refundable security deposit (for standard hires) of £1500.00 payable on collection of the vehicle. This must be paid by credit / debit card and the card must be in the lead drivers name. For drivers outside or our ‘standard’ insurance terms and for those hirers wishing to take the vehicle to certain events e.g. Festivals, certain sports events etc. this deposit may be considerably higher. Please note that you must declare if you intend to use the vehicle for any such purpose at point of hire. Our vehicle is fitted with a tracker. Failure to declare will put you in breach of contract and Blueline Campervan and Motorhome hire may terminate your rental at our discretion Once the vehicle has been returned, cleaned and fully checked over we shall return your deposit less any charges accrued – this will usually be within 24hrs of return.
  • Can I take the Motorhome to a festival?

When you arrive to collect the vehicle, we spend as long as is necessary with you to ensure that you are comfortable with everything prior to setting off.
  • What if I have an accident or damage the Motorhome?
Please keep calm, take plenty of photos, record third party / witness details and inform us at the earliest opportunity, no matter how minor or major the accident, and we’ll get it sorted. If a third party is involved then there is an accident report form in your glove box that will need to be completed.
  • Is Insurance included?
Yes, fully comprehensive insurance is included in the hire cost. We can insure anybody between 25 and 75 years of age with a minimum 3 years’ driving experience. If you have more than 3 penalty points on your licence or more than 1 insurance claim in the previous 5 years, you must inform us at time of booking. This doesn’t mean we won’t be able to insure you, but we will need to refer you to our insurance company for their approval first Our Standard insurance excess is £1500. You may wish to reduce this excess to £0 - This is commonly known as a collision damage waiver or excess insurance. We recommend using Rentalcover.com for this. In the event of an accident or damage caused the excess is still payable, you would then make a claim on the policy you take out.
